Hey! Look: after ten years of dyeing my hair bold colors and wearing predominately black clothing, I've earned my right to wear thinner eyeliner and keep my hair blonde. As a young professional, I'm learning what it takes to maintain my individuality while staying in dress code. Hence, 9-to-5 Uniform.

I grew up with punk and metal influences mixed with an emphasis on responsibility. My dad specifically taught me tons, from where to get tattoos so that employers can't discriminate to the importance of choosing between black and navy blue in your everyday wardrobe. See, my dad has low vision and is legally blind from retinitis pigmentosa. So when he taught me to match black with black, I trusted his judgement. The rest is history.
